Graduate School of Computer Science
In order to meet the demand of a highly information-oriented infrastructure,
a Master's Course of computer science was established in April 1997. The goal
of this program is to foster creative and skilled researchers. The course is
divided into two stages: fundamental and advanced. The former deals
with fundamental computer science and network engineering, while the latter
consists of intelligent information science and applied information science.
The department has the latest SUN workstations in all the researcher's
offices. Each student is encouraged to utilize these computers to better
understand their specialities and at the same time exchange information
through the Internet. Furthermore, the department is completely equipped
with ICAD system, CASE system, document- and image-processing system,
machine translation system, real-time UNIX system, three-dimension CAD
system and other up-to-date equipment and software.
